AMD has got into the ATI Linux Drivers space and said it would provide developers with open source graphics drivers programming for the company's two new graphics chip.
In early May, AMD had said at the Red Hat Summit that would improve driver support for ATI graphics besides finding a decent solution to the open-source community.
It is being said that AMD will programme the basics of an open-source driver for the two graphics chip—R500 and R600— and then will work with the open source community on further developing the ATI Driver. |
