Sony Unveils Low Cost Vaio NR Series Notebooks

Sony has launched a low priced edition of its popular Vaio series of notebooks called as NR Series Notebooks for about USD 750....

Sony has launched a low priced edition of its popular Vaio series of notebooks called as NR Series Notebooks for about USD 750.

The NR series notebooks feature a 15.4-inch widescreen display with XBRITE-ECO LCD technology and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor on selected models. Moreover, the notebooks will be preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. Connectivity is achieved via built-in 802.11-a/b/g wireless LAN.

The NR series notebooks also hold entertainment features such as an advanced DVD and CD burners allowing users to record up to 8.5GB of home videos, movies, music, or digital photos on one double layer DVD disc.

The new notebooks will be available in three colours Wenge, a rich brown with copper accents; Silk - a bright white with a matte finish and Granite - a silver hue with natural tones.
