Mobile communications goliath Motorola has released its flagship MOTO Q9h in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Designed for the Internet generation and packaged as a fun, functional device with high-speed connectivity in a svelte and sleek body the Q9h allows users to stay connected to friends and family anytime, anywhere through popular Web 2.0 tools that include instant messaging (IM), emails, blogs, and even Facebook.

“Too much of life happens online to leave it at home, so Motorola has created the MOTO Q9h precisely to let you take your virtual life with you wherever you go,” said Mark Shockley, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Devices East Asia.

“By elegantly combining a superior personal communicator with a fully-featured music and entertainment device, we have created the ultimate life tool for the Web 2.0 generation."

Sporting a QWERTY keyboard that makes it a breeze to type emails, SMS messages, notes, or presentations, the quad-band MOTO Q9h is powered by the latest Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 platform. It comes equipped for push email, fast Internet browsing, high-speed music downloads, video streaming and casting.

“Windows Mobile software enables people to connect with information, friends and family in powerful, yet easy-to-use ways. By working with great partners such as Motorola, we’re able to simplify and enrich life for people with phones they can’t be without,” said Ken Wye Saw, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Microsoft APAC.

Its High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) allows quick downloads. According to a statement released yesterday, “the MOTO Q9h…u can now download a song in approximately six seconds without needing to use…computer at all.”

The new device also boasts features that will keep users entertained for hours, integrating Windows Media Player, which syncs with your favourite playlists on your laptop or PC in a flash.

The MOTO Q9h is now available in Singapore across all carriers and retailers for SGD 828.
