Avaya, last week, re-introduced its newly minted Executive Briefing Center (EBC) in Singapore, with intentions to provide customers with a first hand experience of the effectiveness of intelligent communication solutions.

Tagged as the “new era in communications” the refurbished EBC will now showcase tailor made solutions for key industries, providing an intimate look into the effectiveness of how communications can boost productivity in various settings.

According to Mark Leigh, Avaya’s President for Asia Pacific, some 2 million dollars went into sprucing up the Singapore EBC which today has got the most advanced technologies when compared to the other EBCs around Asia.

Avaya has a total of 25 EBCs in the region, some of which can be found in Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney.

A tour around the facility showed innovative, advanced, ready to deploy communication solutions customized to suite a myriad of situations in the Hospitality, Banking and Finance industries.

Leigh told journalists at the official launch that Avaya is currently focusing intensely in the Hospitality industry in AP, which is considered to be a lucrative area today thanks to up and coming attractions such as Singapore’s Integrated Resorts, the Singapore F1 Race, Macau’s Casinos developments and the influx of tourist arrivals in the region.

According to Frost and Sullivan, the enterprise telephony solutions sales into the Asia Pacific travel and hospitality industry will grow by 17.9 percent in 2007 and expected to be worth USD 299.5 million by 2008.

“Organizations that effectively exploit Intelligent Communications solutions will gain a sustainable competitive advantage to deliver both improved profitability and operational efficiency,” said Leigh in a prepared statement.

“The EBC demonstrates how we carry out our commitment to service our customers from around the world by providing the most advanced technology.”

Headquartered in Basking Ridge, NJ, USA, Avaya said that it will also explore opportunities to expand its EBC facilities to verticals such as government, financial services and insurance, retail as well as healthcare.
