Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division (EDD) has appointed Ben Graetz as Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific & Greater China.
In this newly created role, Graetz will oversee all Business Development, Operational and Product Marketing functions in Microsoft’s Entertainment portfolio, including Xbox, Xbox LIVE, Games, Microsoft Hardware, and Microsoft Office for Mac. He will lead the Microsoft Entertainment & Device Division’s drive to reach revenue, share and profit objectives in Korea, Singapore, India, South East Asia and Greater China, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Graetz will report directly to Alan Bowman, General Manager, Asia Pacific & Greater China, Microsoft EDD as part of the regional leadership team.
“Ben’s breadth of business experience, as well as his excellent track record in driving outstanding results, makes him ideally suited for this expanded role,” said Mr. Bowman.
A 14-year Microsoft veteran, Graetz has an extensive business development, marketing and operational background within the organization, both in region and at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Formerly the General Manager of Microsoft’s Unified Communications Business in Asia Pacific, he drove strategic investment of this “start up” business in the region, growing the unit from a zero base to a sophisticated, high performing team with thousands of satisfied customers.
Ben is a graduate of the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and is a Graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |
