Macquarie Telecom, a supplier of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions for mid to large size companies has entered into a strategic partnership with the Australian subsidiary of NTT Com, one of the world’s leading telecommunications service providers.

“We are delighted to partner with Macquarie Telecom to assist them in providing the best-of-breed managed services, specifically to Asia Pacific customers,” said Peter Cheleski, Sales & Marketing Director, NTT Com.

According to Macquarie, this alliance is the next step in its Next Generation Network strategy to extend its density and redundancy in Asia Pacific and further strengthen its position as the leading hybrid Virtual Network Operator in the region.

“We see great potential in the Asia Pacific market as many of the mid to large size customers are expanding regionally to grow their business, increase productivity and enjoy significant cost advantages. Every customer location that requires a fully managed solution deserves the security, redundancy and superior SLA this strategic partnership with NTT allows us to bring,” said Larry Morgan, Managing Director, Macquarie Telecom, Asia.

“Our focus on the mid size market has enabled us to capture significant market share with the regional MNCs in the recent years.

“Our NGN strategy and strong partner relationships are essential to our business, as we understand that no company can be everywhere providing everything to everyone. Whilst our competitors focus on investing in infrastructure, we are investing in partnerships, systems and our people – ensuring maximum cost efficiency for our customers,” added Morgan.

Founded in July 1992, Macquarie Telecom is one of Asia Pacific’s first deregulated telecommunications companies and holds carrier licenses in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
