The future development of China's insurance industry was discussed by a panel of leading industry experts at the China Insurance IT Innovation & Development Summit hosted by Sybase Software (China), a provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, which was recently held at the Beijing InterContinental Hotel.
The aim of the event, which was attended by Madam Yu Mei of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, was to demonstrate to China's insurance industry how innovative information technology applications can increase insurance companies' competitiveness.
"China's insurance industry is booming as the market opens up to competition," said Raymond Yu, Vice-President of Sybase China. "This event examined how Business Intelligence and Mobile Management technologies can significantly improve business development and management by lowering costs and increasing competitiveness within the sector. Guest speakers shared their insights into the future development of China's insurance industry while technology experts and senior executives from Sybase introduced the company's solutions and a number of successful insurance industry case studies."
Yu Mei presented an update on the state of China's Insurance industry and its future. Steve Drake Director of Mobile Computing at IDC discussed the global mobilisation of the enterprise while Allen Shyu, Director of Prudential Life Insurance presented a case study on how to mobilise an insurance sales force.
Dr.Jürgen Müller, Vice President of worldwide sales of Sybase iAnywhere Solutions, Inc, presented "The Unwired Enterprise Information Management and Mobility", while Frank Hsiao, General Manager of G-Mobile explained how mobile insurance applications are designed. Zhao Feng, Assistant President of IT at China Life Insurance (Group) discussed Business Intelligence in the Insurance Enterprise. |
