Microsoft Corp. has announced that it would enhance its Office 2007 lineup. Microsoft said it would improve menus and tools, enhance graphics and formatting capabilities, new time and communication management tools, and provide more reliability and security.
Microsoft said Office Standard 2007 has new graphics, formatting galleries, and improved menus and tools that expose commonly used commands
New features and improvements include:
- Results-oriented menus and tools make it easier to find and use product features.
- More stable bullets and numbers help to consistently format documents.
- Enhanced text effects and diagram and graphics galleries provide more formatting choices.
- Office Styles create a consistent appearance across Microsoft Office system programs.
With an improved junk e-mail and anti-phishing filter, automatic document recovery, and Document Inspector for removing personally identifiable information from your documents, Office Standard 2007 enables you to work with more confidence and security.
New features and improvements include:
- Junk e-mail filter helps to significantly reduce spam e-mail messages.
- Anti-phishing tools alert users to suspicious and potentially fraudulent e-mail messages.
- Document recovery tool helps retrieve Microsoft Office system documents after a system crash.
Office Standard 2007 has improved menus and tools and an enhanced Help system, including online tutorials with step-by-step instructions, so you can be more resourceful, quickly learn the product, and find answers to your questions.

- Command tabs on the results-oriented Ribbon display commonly used commands that previously appeared only in lengthy drop-down menus.
