New NETGEAR NAS for SOHO and SMBs out in Singapore

NETGEAR has launched its latest solution aimed at providing ideal, affordable centralized network attached storage (NAS) device for small businesses and consumers requiring enterprise- quality performance and security.

The ReadyNAS NV+ which was officially launched in Singapore Thursday is hailed as a single, safe and most effective solution for storing and serving all digital data - designed specifically for home offices, small businesses and workgroups.

Packaged with technology previously reserved for high-end servers, the new solution also supports features such as Gigabit Ethernet speeds, system monitoring capabilities and built-in backup with hardware RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks).

“Increasing number of home and business users are managing their data better by having an expandable storage and data duplication," said Vincent Low, regional director for Southeast Asia, NETGEAR.

"The ReadyNAS NV+ is thus in a perfect position to serve the needs of SOHOs and SMBs, and our growing ReadyNAS customer base attests to that. This new NAS device will deliver robust storage solutions that are rich in features, easy to use, well built and compact, and class-leading in terms of performance.”

ReadyNAS’s patent pending X-RAID technology provides full data access and redundancy with protection even during hot swap of disks and against hardware failure, ensuring the access and safety of valuable pictures, digital media and sensitive business files.

Doing its part to be green, NETGEAR says the solution consumes lesser power than its competition whilst carrying a a special energy saving mode for automatic shutdown upon idle. The ReadyNAS NV+ works with Windows, Mac and Linux.

Working on Windows, Mac and Linux and backed by a five-year warranty, the ReadyNAS NV+ RND4250 is available now via leading retailers, direct marketers, e-commerce sites and value-added resellers, at a suggested retail price of SGD 2,500.
