Toshiba Unveils Multimedia Notebooks

After Sony launched low priced laptops last week, Toshiba has announced the launch of several latest configurations to its A215 series of multimedia notebooks. Starting at USD 700, the Satellite A215 models include variants of AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology Gold Edition and AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor.

Toshiba has also added ATI Radeon X1200 graphics along with AMD processors that will give out a new level of functionality such as video playback. Additional features include a DVD SuperMulti drive and a 15.4-inch widescreen display.

Certain models also include an embedded 1.3 megapixel Webcam, LabelFlash technology and Ulead DVD MoveFactory 5.
