SpikeSource Updates Alfresco SpikeIgnited Solution

Bangalore-based SpikeSource, a packaged and maintained open source solutions provider released a new SpikeIgnited version of the Alfresco Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution.

Alfresco is the open source alternative for enterprise content management.

Windows and Linux have tested, integrated and certified Alfresco SpikeIgnited using the SpikeIgnite platform. Through the SpikeIgnite platform, SpikeSource delivers tuned and optimized solutions that are ready to be used by the enterprise.

Solutions are integrated and packaged with the components they depend on, and then built and tested on an automated framework that includes over 300,000 tests. Also, the SpikeNet update service ensures that all software is continuously monitored for software, security and operational updates.

Alfresco’s Open Source Barometer Survey showed an increasing trend in organizations adopting a mixed stack, which combines open source and proprietary software. Further, the survey showed that Windows gained popularity in testing and evaluation because it is the operating system on most desktops.
