HP New Services and Solutions to Manage SAP Applications

HP has expanded its portfolio of offerings that help enterprise customers modernize and manage their SAP application environments, allowing customers to consolidate, migrate and optimize their SAP application infrastructure; upgrade to the latest version of SAP ERP (enterprise resource planning); and, establish a roadmap that leverages enterprise SOA (service-oriented architecture) to innovate future business processes.

HP has also announced new Integrity Reference Configurations for SAP Applications, which helps simplify and speed the transition from the customer’s existing environment to the new environment.

“HP and SAP have created a remarkable legacy providing world-class business technology solutions to customers worldwide,” said Eric Goh, Vice President, Marketing, Technology Solutions Group, HP Asia Pacific & Japan.
“Today, we see SAP customers are faced with a tough balancing act: the pressure to modernize while managing their IT environments. Together, we’re helping customers gain agility and greater return on their SAP application investments while reducing the cost of their SAP environments.”

In a related move, SAP named HP a strategic Global Technology Partner for SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrades. HP and SAP share a nearly two decade-long collaboration and HP is a global leader in SAP application installations.

“With HP as a strategic Global Technology Partner for SAP ERP 6.0 Upgrades, SAP and HP Services are working closely to accelerate the upgrades of our joint installed base customers,” said Martin Riedel, head of Global Upgrade Office, senior vice president, SAP AG.

“Based on HP’s commitment, SAP will provide HP with access to SAP upgrade-related tools, access to key SAP experts in the SAP Upgrade Competency Centers, and will also invest in joint marketing programs with HP.”
