SEVEN Loads Push Email for 3

SEVEN, the push email software provider who has for the longest time been pre-loading its mobile email solutions only in high-end smartphones will now be providing the same service to an array of consumer-friendly mobile phones for 3, UK’s leading mobile media company.

The first device to include SEVEN’s solution will be the Sony Ericsson W660i. The application will be built into the messaging menu, allowing users to access their email within a few keystrokes—making it easier to access email on a mobile than on a PC.

Mobile Mail, offered with 3’s X-Series packages, provides users with real-time access to their email from popular email services such as AOL Mail, Earthlink, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail – making it easy to access mobile email as a consumer or a professional.

Said to be easy to set up, Mobile Mail will require users to log-in only once for continued access to their email, contacts and calendar on one or more accounts.

Mobile Office Mail provides users with a push-based mobile email service in real-time with access to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino email accounts as well access to calendar, personal contacts and corporate directories.

“Our customers can stay connected wherever they are with our Mobile Mail and Mobile Office Mail solutions powered by SEVEN,” said Fergal Walker, 3 Director of Product Management.

“These solutions provide easy access, set-up and the consistent reliable results our customers have come to expect from the 3 network and we are excited to see them pre-loaded on the cutting-edge and consumer-centric Sony Ericsson W660i, making it easier than ever before for our customers to access mobile email.”

3 has some 4.1 million customers in the UK and Ireland.
