Juniper Names New CIO

High performance networking provider Juniper Networks has appointed Michele Goins to the position of chief information officer (CIO).

Ms. Goins will be responsible for all of Juniper's information technology strategies, systems, and resources. She will provide strategic and tactical direction to ensure all information technology systems are aligned to support the company's growth and operational objectives. Ms. Goins will report directly to Ms. Denholm.

“We are excited to have Michele join the Juniper executive leadership team,” said Robyn Denholm, Juniper Networks' chief financial officer.

“Her proven ability to set and deliver the information technology and systems that are needed to drive a high-performance business will prove a valuable asset to Juniper as we continue to focus on our operational execution.”

Ms. Goins joins Juniper from Hewlett-Packard, where she served in a number of executive positions during her 25 year tenure. Most recently, she was vice president and CIO for Hewlett-Packard's Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), responsible for defining and delivering the information technology and systems in support of IPG and the company's consumer business priorities.

'I am excited to be joining Juniper,' said Ms. Goins.

'I look forward to building on the programs in place to ensure Juniper has the information technology and systems needed to innovate and deliver value to customers around the world.'

Ms. Goins holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and earned an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
