Sun Announces Promotions in AP

Sun Microsystems last week announced the promotion of four of its executives in the Asia Pacific (AP) region tasked with focusing on its key business priorities.

The new appointments include Kenneth J. Buchanan, vice president for Services Practice, Jason Chung, vice president for Software Practice, Grant Rickard, vice president for Global Customer Services and Tan Kwang-Meng, vice president for Partner Sales Organization.

“We are seeing strong growth and customer traction in the Asia Pacific region. We have recently added customers like NTUC Fair Price and SIM University in Singapore, Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Renesas Technology Group in Japan, and Sydney Business and Travel Academy to our growing customer list,” said Lionel Lim, president, Asia Pacific, Sun Microsystems.

“With the new appointments Sun will have a strong and dynamic leadership team to drive business in their respective portfolios across the region.”
