Secure Computing Establishes AP HQ in S’pore

Secure Computing recently appointed Singapore as its new Asia Pacific (AP) headquarters in a move aimed at supporting its growing customer base in the region.

Previously its South Asia headquarters, the new AP headquarters will serve customers and partners throughout the region including Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, India and all of the territories in between.

Secure Computing first set up its Singapore office in 2004 and said in a statement that it has seen an increase in demand for its messaging and web gateway security solutions as well as its identity and access management products over the years.

“Locating our Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore is a strategic decision for Secure Computing and reaffirms our commitment to Singapore, which remains an important market for us,” said Benjamin Low, Managing Director of Asia South, Secure Computing.

“With its substantial investment in infocomm infrastructure, we believe Singapore provides tremendous opportunities for us. To that end, we are happy to announce that Secure Computing has recently won a significant piece of a major government project as a partner of the Singapore Computer Systems.”

The enterprise gateway security company has further strengthened its AP presence with the re-branding of its range of products by bringing all its products under the “Secure” brand. In addition, it established a new inside sales team to drive revenue growth and added new training rooms to cope with the increased demand for support by its regional channel partners.

Going forward, Secure Computing said it plans to further enhance its infrastructure by adding facilities for product demonstrations and testing, as well as strengthening its capacity to provide technical support for customers across the Asia Pacific.
