Proofpoint Announces new Exec Appointments

Proofpoint, Inc. the leading provider of unified email security, archiving, encryption and data loss prevention solutions, announced this week the appointment of Dean Hickman-Smith as executive vice president of worldwide sales and Ramon Peypoch as executive vice president of business development.

Hickman-Smith will drive all global sales activities for Proofpoint. Peypoch will lead strategic new business initiatives, global strategic alliances and corporate development activities.

Both executives will report directly to Proofpoint's CEO, Gary Steele.

Dean Hickman-Smith joins Proofpoint from ConSentry Networks, Inc., a computer security and networking company, where he served as vice president of worldwide sales and support. Ramon Peypoch was previously leading corporate strategy, M&A and strategic alliances as vice president of business development at Websense.
