Motorola Comes Up with Noise Canceling Headsets

Motorola has announced the addition of two new universal Bluetooth headsets equipped with background noise cancellation, namely MOTOPURE H15 and H780.

The Pure H15 (codename Adonis) is a compact and lightweight design headset with a flip boom mic. The flip also acts as a power switch of sorts -- open it to talk and close it to conserve battery life. While charging, the headset remains paired to a phone and ready to receive calls. Even though both headsets come with CrystalTalk technology that enhances voice clarity, the H15 takes it a step further with background noise cancellation.

“With superior audio quality to silence the noise, along with comfort and design, MOTOPURE H15 and the H780 are the latest examples of Motorola's innovations that are exceeding consumer demands and driving its global leadership in the Bluetooth accessories market,” said Wayne White, corporate vice president and general manager of companion products at Motorola.

The H780 also features Motorola’s CrystalTalk noise-canceling technology, coupling it with seven hours of talk time. The small, 0.35-inch (9mm) speaker fits comfortably into 90 percent of users’ ears according to Motorola’s testing, but multiple ear cushions for the right fits are included with either headset.

Both models are able to pair up with two Bluetooth devices at the same time thanks to Multipoint technology and support more than 200 cellphone models from 15 brands. The H15 has a rated talk time of 4.5 hours and a standby time of 7 days, while the H780 has a rated talk time of 7 hours and a standby time of 8 days.

Pricing details of the headsets were not disclosed, but both the headsets are scheduled to start shipping in October.
